Dear People of the Internet, this is the final week of my exhibition ‘We Wish That We Were What We Once Were, Back When We Wanted To Be What We Are Now" at The Compound Gallery in Oakland.
This Sunday, March 13th, there will be a Closing Reception from 3 - 6pm. This event will also apparently include an 'Artist Talk’, starting at 4pm. As of right now I’ve no idea what that will actually consist of. Possibly an incendiary, Trump style oratory during which I vilify and belittle everything we hold dear, followed by the forced removal of random audience members by security guards. Most likely though it will just be me, in a state of mild embarrassment, mumbling incoherently for a short while.
Anyway, the forecast is for rain on Sunday, so if you’ve nothing better to do come along and see for yourself.

The Better Part Of Valor

Today sees the launch of this limited edition cast bronze ‘sculpture’ that I created in partnership with the good folks at The Compound Gallery. It sits proudly upon it’s own sturdy maple plinth, complete with laser etched profanity. Each and every one of the edition of 13 was hand finished by me at great personal risk and considerable discomfort.

Monday is almost over.
Opening this Saturday, at the Compound Gallery in Oakland “KNOCKOUT”, a boxing themed art show. This piece will be my boxing themed contribution. Opening reception September 19th, 6 -9 pm, the show runs through November 1st.

This object is currently up on the wall at The Dove Biscuit gallery, which can be found in The Last Bookstore, located in ‘happening’ downtown Los Angeles. It has a few of my other bits my bobs hanging alongside it too, so get yourself down there if you’re in L.A.

Very chuffed to be featured in this ‘Artist Notebook’ collection, published by Monsa in Spain, and available for a mere €25,90 right here. It’s a beautifully produced hardback book, with lots of excellent contributors (aside from my own lavish 14 pages!). Well worth a look.
