I have a little feature in Issue 3 of Art Crush. It’s a free, downloadable, digital art magazine, and you can flip straight to page 46 to find my contribution. Because let’s face it, you wouldn’t want to waste your time trawling through the work of all those other artists, some of whom you might end up liking better than me. Not that I’d care of course. Here also is an alternative way of looking at it that I just discovered - it seems simpler.

I’ve got a bit behind with posting stuff lately, however I will endeavor to rectify that situation over the next few days. Lets start by getting up to date with my Art In A Box contributions for The Compound. This particular drawing went out last month. And yes, it was framed, with REAL GLASS and everything. Seriously people, at $50 a pop AIAB is such a good deal.
This piece, entitled “The Corner of 34th & No Going Back”, will be making an appearance at the Compound Gallery’s next group show, Scouting Oakland. The Grand Opening is this Saturday, August 3rd, from 6-9pm, and it runs through Sunday September 15th, (when the traditional Closing Tea will take place from 3-6pm).
It promises to be a pretty interesting show, so if you find yourself at a loose end in Oaktown, come and check it out.
Here’s my Hands & Pants collaboration with John Casey. On show at the 63 Bluxome Street Gallery in San Francisco through July 30th.
“Hands & Pants” is a collaborative drawing venture, employing 70+ of John Casey’s artist peers. John drew either hands or pants or both, in his simple pen-and-ink style on 8″x10″ Bristol paper. An invited artist was given the hands and/or pants and asked to complete the figure in any way they saw fit.

My solo show at The Compound Gallery ends this Sunday. There will be a Closing Tea complete with Artist Talk, although as of now I’ve no idea what I’ll be actually be saying during this talk. I suspect there may be some apologizing. Anyhow, it’s all happening between 3 -6 pm and this will be your very last chance to feast your eyes on the above wall installation, because it’ll be disappearing forever once the show closes. Hope you can make it.

The Apology Show is coming up at The Compound Gallery, and I’m going to be banging on about it incessantly. So get used to it.
The party in question was to celebrate the stealth re-launch of davidfullarton.com, which, after years of moribund neglect, is now a fully functioning, content rich, online paradise. You would have been invited to the party too, but I happened to know that you were otherwise engaged. It wasn’t very good in the end anyway. I ended up standing alone, drunk and depressed, in a corner of the kitchen.

Haven’t had an apology for a while. But now I’m ramping up for my solo show at The Compound, opening May 4th. You have been warned!
This is my humble contribution to Outside The Box II, which will be opening @ The Compound Gallery, Oakland, CA on March 16th from 3 -6 pm.
As well as new works by Art In The Box contributing artists this show will feature the debut of the Art In A Box Limited Edition Ceramic Plate Collection. Should be a barrel of laughs. Hope you can be there.
