Three new Art In A Box pieces, being dispatched to undisclosed and unsuspecting recipients this month.
Haven’t had an apology for a while. But now I’m ramping up for my solo show at The Compound, opening May 4th. You have been warned!
This is my humble contribution to Outside The Box II, which will be opening @ The Compound Gallery, Oakland, CA on March 16th from 3 -6 pm.
As well as new works by Art In The Box contributing artists this show will feature the debut of the Art In A Box Limited Edition Ceramic Plate Collection. Should be a barrel of laughs. Hope you can be there.
Oh and the bird piece is for sale right here.
I recently completed a fairly magnificent portrait of someone who eats at a Taco Bell somewhere in Ohio so often that they became the ‘Mayor’ of that Taco Bell on Four Square.
It was quite possibly my finest moment.
Taco Bell just posted a video of the subject being presented with her likeness. And you, my friends, can witness the whole remarkable debacle unfolding right here.
Check out this nice little article in the Gestalt Journal about receiving an Art In A Box shipment with one of my pieces inside.
Finally, The Oakland’s amazing Compound Gallery brings you dishwasher and microwave safe art, in the shape of the one and only Limited Edition Ceramic Plate Series by Art in a Box.
There are only 12 Editions (4 plates per edition) available at only $300 each (including shipping). Subscribers will receive 4 original plates delivered to their door (one plate each month). Each 11” plate arrives inside a hand printed muslin bag along with a certificate signed by the artist.
The above constitutes my own humble contribution, check out the rest here.
I’ve got a spread in the new book ’1,000 Portrait Illustrations: Contemporary Illustration from Pencil to Digital’. And I’m in the ‘Experimental’ category, so now we know. If one was so inclined, one could purchase a copy here.
And here's a odd video of a disembodied hand flicking through a copy. Unfortunately they flick right past my page. Perhaps it was just too experimental.
I think it’s time for some negative affirmations, don’t you?
’The Imbecile’s Lament. ‘About to be dispatched as part of next month's Art In A Box shipment. Original art delivered to your door for a mere $40. Subscribe here, why dontcha?

Apology Drawings featured in Juxtapoz.com today. Thank you Juxtapoz. I’ve always been a big fan!
Just finished the third plate for Art In A Box. (at The Compound Gallery)
Let’s start the New Year off with an amiable, romantic apology. Not even a hint of profanity, unpleasantness or random violence.
Enjoy!
It won’t last.
Oh and on the off-chance that you have a few idle moments to kill, you can read my ruminations on the entire Apology Series in this here interview.
